MCLS - Midwest Collaborative for Library Services

MCLS - Midwest Collaborative for Library Services Nonprofit membership organization for Indiana and Michigan libraries, founded February 15, 2010. MCLS exists to serve our members, and we put their needs first.

MCLS' mission is to facilitate sharing resources and to collaborate with other organizations to benefit member libraries. The Midwest Collaborative for Library Services (MCLS) was formed in February 2010 from the merger of the Indiana Cooperative Library Services Authority (INCOLSA) and Michigan Library Consortium (MLC) to better serve member libraries in both states. Our members range from large

research libraries, to public libraries, to very small school media centers and special libraries. MCLS’ Board of Directors is composed of librarians just like you—from all library types—who genuinely understand the local needs and aspirations of libraries in our two states. We’re proud to offer great customer service and a personal touch you won’t find elsewhere.

MCLS is proud to have been the keynote sponsor for this year's ILF Regional Conferences. Library staff across Indiana learned from Edra Waterman and other members who shared in a wide variety of sessions at all three events.

Our first-ever ILF Virtual Regional Conference is officially complete!

We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us today from across Indiana to learn, connect, and collaborate in this new format. A special thank you to our Keynote Sponsor, MCLS - Midwest Collaborative for Library Services for helping make our regional events possible.

It's National Library Outreach Day! Library staff can be found at farmer's markets, in parks, and along parade routes. They use bookmobiles and mobile engagement vehicles to share story times on the road, attend family literacy nights, and provide programming and book checkout throughout their communities. It's amazing to see how our members are going out into their communities to support patrons where they are. Thank you for being a resource for everyone!
