For our Monday Member Spotlight, we are excited to shine the light on Ramona, our Princess Tiana for East Michigan. Ramona brings lots of joy and great line dancing to all our events!

"I joined the League because I've always had an interest in community service & cosplay. I was extremely happy when I found out there was a way for me to combine the two. After meeting some of the team at the Walk for Miracles, I knew this was something I wanted to be involved in. It's brought an extra measure of joy to my life. I love doing it because of the positive impact I can have on someone else's life. Every little bit counts. I just want to be the light that I wish to see in the world."

Helping others and making others happy is just ingrained in his blood, as well as putting others in the spotlight. Usually being behind the camera, he focuses on getting people what they need to shine. But you can usually catch him in his “patent pending” group selfies.

Our Story

The League of Enchantment is a 501c3 Nonprofit with the mission to work together with local hospitals, Make-A- Wish, and community organizations and events to bring hope and smiles to kids, and kids at heart. Whether it is a smile, hug, photo or a simple conversation with a child, we are here to make a difference in their lives all through the power of cosplay. The League has grown from 6 members to over 80 members in less than 2 years. How? It all started over a photo, ice cream, and a notebook full of ideas. When cosplayers become friends and want to make the world a better place by bringing hope and smiles to kids, there is no limit to what they can accomplish. The League’s main focus is to visit kids in hospitals and to brighten their day. At a hospital visit, we bring a toy and a comic book to every child we visit. Not only is this to give them something new to do, but to remind them of their visit with their favorite superhero. Some of the most powerful visits are when the parents tell us that, "This is the first time he has smiled since he got there," or a doctor thanks us for brightening up the hospital floor that day. Our visits don't just help the kids….they help the parents, nurses and doctors also. Laughter is the best medicine in the world. - Milton Berk
