Throwback Thursday!

Today we’re taking a step back in time with a glimpse of Mt. Hope Cemetery as it appeared in 1912. This historic landmark has been a part of Lansing’s story for over a century, offering a peaceful resting place and a rich landscape filled with heritage, community memories, and remarkable monuments.

From its early beginnings in the 1870s to the winding, tree‑lined paths we know today, Mt. Hope Cemetery continues to welcome visitors who come to honor loved ones or simply enjoy its quiet, historic beauty. This 1912 snapshot reminds us just how long this space has been woven into the fabric of our city.

Stay tuned for more historic highlights, and feel free to share your own Mt. Hope memories!
