ACTION ALERT

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan plans to end the ability of limited license mental health practitioners to bill for services to BCBSM clients, starting in March 2027.

This decision threatens new clinicians, the practices that train them, and the clients who depend on them. It weakens mental health care across our entire state.

We are taking a stand, and we need you with us.

Join us at the BCBS Building in downtown Lansing on Tuesday, June 23rd at 4:30pm. The press will be there. Lawmakers are about to leave for summer recess, so this is our window to be seen and heard.
One voice is easy to overlook. A crowd is not. Show up and make a difference.

Tuesday, June 23rd | 4:30pm | BCBS Building, Downtown Lansing - 232 S Capitol Ave Lansing, MI 48933

Today, NASW Metro DC honors Juneteenth — a day that commemorates freedom, recognizes resilience, and calls us to continue advancing racial equity and justice in our communities.

As social workers, we acknowledge the lasting impact of systemic racism while remaining committed to advocacy, inclusion, and creating spaces where all individuals can thrive with dignity and opportunity.

We celebrate Black history, culture, leadership, and the ongoing work toward a more just future — today and every day.
