Growth Academy: Mind Over Matter – The Great Michigan Race is a reimagined version of our traditional Growth Academy, designed to make leadership development more accessible, affordable, and action-packed. Inspired by The Amazing Race, Fear Factor, and classic field day games, participants will spend the day navigating a series of team-based challenges that test communication, trust, problem-solving, resilience, and leadership.

Throughout the course, teams will travel across a private outdoor property completing physical, mental, and comfort-zone challenges while collecting clues that lead to one final treasure hunt. Every challenge is intentionally designed to strengthen leadership skills through hands-on experience rather than classroom instruction.

Whether you're a first-time JCI member or an experienced leader, you'll leave with new friendships, unforgettable memories, and a renewed confidence in your ability to lead.

Jaycee Day 2026 Update!

While Jaycee Day 2026, originally scheduled for Sunday, August 23, has been cancelled, we’re looking at the bright side! Sometimes a little extra space on the calendar is a good thing.

So, enjoy your weekend! Whether that means relaxing, spending time with family, catching up on things around the house, or simply enjoying a slower Sunday—we hope you make the most of it!

And don’t worry, there are still plenty of opportunities to get involved, connect, and have some fun with your fellow Jaycees all coming up soon!

JCI USA Annual Meeting and TOYA in Virginia Beach for those ready for a little adventure and JCI USA fun Sept 9-13!

Growth Academy- Mind Over Matter is another great opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with other members Sept 26

JCI MI Fall Conference in Holland will be a great opportunity to spend time with our state and celebrate the past and future Nov 6-8!

Whether you're an experienced home cook or just looking to learn something new, this hands-on demonstration offers the opportunity to watch professional techniques, ask questions, and enjoy optional tastings throughout the evening.

*The ODC building is about a 10 minute drive away from The Haworth Hotel.

Please note this event is not held at ODC's main entrance. Enter at the Administrative Offices on 142nd Avenue (search "ODC Administrative Offices" in Google Maps). The building is set back from the road with a gravel drive and parking area. There will be ample parking available. Please note that the facility is not wheelchair accessible, as stairs are required to enter.
