🚨HB 5281 is moving forward.

The third-party litigation financing (TPLF) transparency bill is scheduled for a hearing in the House Judiciary Committee on April 15.

This legislation aims to increase transparency in legal funding, protect consumers, and ensure Michigan’s legal system remains fair and predictable. Similar policies have already been enacted in multiple states, with strong bipartisan support.

MSMS will be monitoring progress and will keep members up to date on changes.
