June is National PTSD Awareness Month.

For many survivors of domestic violence, the effects of trauma can last long after the abuse ends. PTSD can impact emotional health, physical well-being, relationships, and a person’s sense of safety.

The Knoxville Family Justice Center is grateful for community partners like McNabb Center, YWCA Knoxville & the Tennessee Valley and River Valley Health, who help people and survivors access the support and services they need to heal.

💜 Online Abuse Is Real Abuse 💜

Abuse doesn’t always leave visible marks. It can happen through texts, social media, email, and other digital platforms.

📱 Online abuse can include:
• Threatening or harassing messages
• Monitoring your online activity
• Demanding passwords or account access
• Sharing private information without consent
• Constant unwanted contact

No one deserves to feel controlled, intimidated, or unsafe online. If this sounds familiar, know that help is available and you are not alone.

💜 As Father’s Day approaches, we recognize and appreciate the fathers, single dads, and father figures who show up every day for their families.

It’s also important to remember that men can be survivors of domestic violence.

📊 Approximately 1 in 10 men in the United States have experienced some form of intimate partner violence.

Many male survivors never seek help due to stigma, fear of not being believed, concerns about their children, or uncertainty about available resources.

At the Knoxville Family Justice Center, we believe everyone deserves safety, support, and access to services.

If you or someone you know is experiencing abuse, help is available.
