Purebred border collie puppies ready to find their forever homes!
Winnie (white face female) and Roo (black and white male) are 12 weeks old and come from a very strong line of herding BC’s. Both of them are already showing their herding instinct and both would make fantastic sporting dogs. Both love water, love other dogs and love cats. Given their age, they are still somewhat shy when meeting new people but warm up extremely fast. They have had three rounds of vaccinations. We are still working on potty training but they are incredibly intelligent and learn very quickly.
Because of their ages, a home where they do not have to be crated for long hours a day is a must. A physically fenced in yard is also required. Homes with previous border collie experience is preferred.
I was fortunate enough to be able to meet their parents. Both are wonderful working dogs with phenomenal personalities so these puppies are going to be exceptional adults!

We are now taking applications for Sissy! Sissy will be available for adoption July 19, after she gets her 3rd set of puppy shots when she is 11 weeks old. Sissy is a purebred smooth coat Border Collie with tons of energy! She currently spends most of her play time with her littermate who is in the same foster home. Sissy will do best in a home with Border Collie savvy humans. She is intelligent and will need a set routine in her forever family home. She will learn whatever she needs to learn with consistent training. If it’s frisbee games, agility, tracking, fly ball, walking or running partner, she can learn it. If she isn’t engaged physically and mentally every day, she will be a challenge to manage as she will create her own job, such as killing couches, couch pillows, shoes, random pieces of paper towels or perhaps redesigning beautiful furniture with teeth marks. She gets along well with the other dogs and cats (cats should be dog savvy) in her foster home but does try to beat up her brother when playing becomes rough. She has a herding instinct and should not be in a home with children under 7 years old. She is puppy pad trained but will need potty training. She will require a secure, fenced in yard. She has adapted well to her routine in her foster home which is to reside in an ex-pen with her litter mate while not released into the wild (the rest of the house) to play. She and her litter mate stay quietly in the ex-pen overnight. She has a small crate in the ex-pen where she likes to put all of her toys (she is very organized, or a future toy hoarder). At the time she is moved into her approved home, she will be up to date on shots. ETBCR has a full approval program for placement including calls to references and the veterinarian and a home visit. Out of towners can apply to adopt but will have to travel to Knoxville to get her if approved to adopt. Sissy’s adoption fee is $400 with a refund of $100 after proof of being spayed. Spaying Sissy is a requirement of adoption. If you are interested in Sissy, please go to the link and complete an application. If you have any questions about her, please ask the question by adding a comment to this post. Link to adoption form: https://www.etbcr.com/adoption-application.html

Apparently we are having a problem with our website so while we try to get this figured out, I thought I would post some pictures I took today of the three toy Aussies enjoying life! If you are interested in one of them, please just send us a private message while we work on getting our website up and running. I truly apologize for this.

Story time!
Several months ago we were asked by a shelter in Alabama for help 5 toy/mini Aussie’s that were dumped by a breeder. These dogs were used all of their lives as breeding machines so the owners could make money off of the puppies. When they decided to stop breeding, they took all the dogs down to a kill shelter. All 5 were HEAVY load heartworm positive. The shelter reached out to all Aussie rescues but no one could help. They were going to be killed if a rescue couldn’t be found. We agreed to help. The dogs ranged in age from 5 to 10 years. We reached out to a senior dog sanctuary in Knoxville and thankfully they agreed to take the oldest boy. The other 4 came to us. With help from an amazing transport team the dogs arrived safely. We delivered the senior to his new rescue and brought home the other 4. Unfortunately they all started showing signs of respiratory illness (pneumonia) and infections on their bodies. Many emergency vet trips were involved. We did not have high hopes they would make it. In our vets opinion, based on their hw load and X-rays of their spines, these dogs were NEVER on hw preventative (in Alabama!) and were kept outside in cages that were too small for their bodies. Sadly the senior boy passed away because the worms consumed almost all of his vital organs (necropsy by UT confirmed this. They also agreed with our vets opinion).
4 months (2 rounds of hw injections) of keeping them EXTREMELY quiet, feeding healthy food, giving them tons of love and attention, I’m thrilled to say they all survived!
All 4 are now heartworm free! All are happy and healthy and ready to find homes of their own. The 4th dog became a foster fail. His owners fell instantly in love with him.
I will post the dogs information under their individual pictures. If you have any questions, please send us a private message. If you are interested in adopting, please visit our website to complete our online application. www.etbcr.com.

This is Frost. He is an ETBCR alumni and a seizure dog. He is micro chipped.
He disappeared 11 days ago in Kingsport Tennessee, Sullivan Gardens area Mill Creek Road.
We are doing everything possible to track and find him but there have been no sightings. We hired a professional tracker and are following their instructions.
If someone picked him up, he could be anywhere now so please be on the lookout, especially if you work in a vets office.
He is in Fight or Flight mode (a chemical reaction that can happen in a dogs brain when they are completely stressed. Their body can stop producing serotonin which can cause short-term memory loss. They forget everything about their previous life and are just doing everything possible to stay safe and survive) so please do not chase. Contact us immediately with the exact location where you think you saw him.

Meet Bonnie, a six month old spayed female border collie possibly Cattle Dog mix. She had a bad start in life but was rescued by an amazing lady in Middle Tennessee, until we took her in our rescue.

Bonnie is intelligent, a problem solver, and is an active girl. She is submissive to our adult dogs and enjoys playing with her toys and will settle down in her dog bed. She would do well with a family who enjoys dog sports/competitions and has gained more confidence and people-friendly. She is not destructive and loves to play fetch.

She is fully vaccinated and healthy. If you are interested in this young girl, please go ahead and fill in our application form on the ETBCR website.

She is currently being fostered in Oliver Springs Tennessee. If you have any direct questions, please email Suzanne at [email protected]

Bonnie is a beautiful, four month old little girl, ready to find her forever home. We believe she is a border collie cattle dog mix. She is fully vaccinated, leash trained and house trained. She loves people and other dogs. This little girl is incredibly intelligent and learns things very quickly. She is definitely a people pleaser. Everyone at her vet clinic has fallen in love with her. She is fully energy, but calms down nicely inside the home. She is definitely a snuggle puppy. She is a little difficult to photograph outside because she is always on the go. Pictures do not do this little girl justice. Please visit our website to complete an online application. www.ETBCR.com
