Sometimes the most important thing we can offer isn’t a shower, a meal, or a hygiene kit. It’s simply showing up again and again, building trust, and reminding someone they haven’t been forgotten.

This client is now in an addiction recovery program and taking meaningful steps toward a brighter future. Stories like this are only possible because of supporters who make our outreach work possible.

Today, we officially launch our 2026 Showered in Hope fundraiser.

From now through September 15, we’re raising critical funds to support Tennessee Valley Coalition for the Homeless’ Mobile Shower Trailer and Street Outreach programs across East Tennessee.

Every week, our team travels into communities where resources are limited or nonexistent. We meet people living in cars, tents, campsites, under bridges, and in places most people never see. We bring showers, hygiene supplies, food, clothing, transportation assistance, and connections to housing and supportive services, but most importantly, we build relationships.

Real solutions begin when someone knows they have not been forgotten. Through consistent outreach and trust, we help connect our unhoused neighbors with the resources they need to move toward stability and permanent housing.

Serving 12 counties across East Tennessee means traveling wherever the need exists, even when it’s off the beaten path. Your support helps us continue showing up for our neighbors when and where they need us most.

We were able to bring our Mobile Shower Trailer to Grainger County for the first time this week and partner with St. Mary’s Legacy Clinic in Rutledge! Communities like Grainger County often have limited resources available for our unhoused neighbors, which makes partnerships like this so important. Our mobile shower trailer hit the road and spent the day in Blount County!🚿

Yesterday, our shower trailer was at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, where neighbors were able to access free hot showers, essential supplies, transportation assistance, and connections to local resources.

We’re especially grateful to Our Lady of Fatima for hosting us and providing a hot meal and fellowship alongside the event. Partnerships like these help create welcoming spaces where people can feel safe and get the support they need. 💜

We were honored to join the Sevierville Police Department for their Burgers & Badges event at Smokies Extended Stay in Kodak!🚨

Our team had the opportunity to distribute essential supplies like hygiene kits, food bags, and first aid kits while connecting with residents about resources, things like housing assistance, employment opportunities, and getting important documentation. Most importantly, we spent time building relationships and having meaningful conversations with members of the community.

Youth experiencing homelessness or housing instability often face major barriers when it comes to obtaining important documents like IDs, birth certificates, Social Security cards, and other vital records needed for housing, employment, healthcare, and more.

This free hotline connects young people directly with legal professionals who can help navigate those documentation challenges. Hotline hours are currently Wednesdays only, though expanded hours are expected in the future.

All smiles from Morristown this week!

Earlier this week our Mobile Shower Trailer served neighbors in the Morristown community with free hot showers, hygiene supplies, food, and conversations about housing and other available resources.

Simple acts of care and connection can go a long way. The relationships and trust built during these conversations are often the foundation that allows people to accept help and begin moving toward greater stability and housing.
