A huge THANK YOU to Anderson County High School for blessing our community with an abundance of vegetable plants for our residents! 🌱🍅🥒

Our clients are welcome to stop by and choose from a variety of plants to help start their gardens this season. We are incredibly grateful for the support and generosity shown to our community.

This will operate on the honor system; however, cameras are in use. Please be considerate of others and take only what your family can truly use so that everyone has an opportunity to enjoy them.

Together, we continue growing a stronger community — one plant, one family, and one act of kindness at a time. 💚

This year, Faith came to Anderson County Community Aid Coalition as a Clinton High School senior participating in on-the-job training to gain experience, grow, and learn more about life after graduation. What we didn’t realize at the time was just how much of an impact she would make on all of us.

From day one, Faith jumped in with both feet. She never waited to be told what to do, never complained, and never sought recognition. She quietly stepped up wherever needed — helping clients, answering phones, stocking shelves, assisting with fundraisers, and showing compassion and kindness to everyone who walked through our doors. Her work ethic, initiative, maturity, and heart for others are qualities that simply cannot be taught.

And if you know Faith, you know one very important fact:
If she’s not allergic to it, by gosh ketchup is probably going on it before she eats it. 😂

Today, we want to proudly congratulate Faith on her graduation from Clinton High School! 🎓

Faith, we are so proud of the young woman you have become and cannot wait to see what this next chapter of life holds for you. The future is incredibly bright, and you are going to do amazing things wherever life takes you.

But before your next chapter fully begins… we have one small request:
Please don’t leave us just yet. ❤️

Congratulations, Faith! Your ACCAC family loves you and is cheering you on every step of the way.

James Bowling: WE NEED HELP! This is why we are selling one of our vans. We are down to $754.14 in the bank. The reason. We submitted an invoice to a certain division of the State of TN on November 6th, 2025. We STILL HAVE NOT BEEN PAID. yes, we are a non-profit, but we operate as a business with taxes, payroll, light, water and gas bills, rent, and insurance. We have operated for 6 months and have run out of funds. I don't know many businesses that can operate that long without being paid. I know my business can't. So please if you know anybody in need of a really good van, please pass this along. RT

📢 Attention ACCAC Clients & Community

In recognition of the dedication and hard work of our staff — who receive very limited holidays and no vacation pay — our Executive Director has made the decision to close the agency May 18th–22nd to allow our team a much-needed opportunity to rest, recharge, and spend time with their families.

We will also be closed Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day.

ACCAC will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, May 26th.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding and patience while our staff takes this brief time away before the busy summer months begin. Thank you for your continued support of our agency and the work we do together for our community. ❤️

🚨 ANDERSON COUNTY — WE NEED YOU TO STEP UP 🚨

This isn’t about pity.
This is about real families working hard and still needing a little help to make it through the week.

Today, in less than 2 hours, our shelves were cleared.

We are now pausing multiple times a day just to restock — not because of repeat visits, but because hundreds of different families come through our doors each week.

They’re doing their part.
Now we’re asking our community to do the same.

Last month, you helped us stay open.
But May is coming fast.

Today, Coker Rental and Coker Waste stepped up with a $1000 donation. $500 from each company. We have received two additional donations from residents of the community.

👉 Who’s next?
👉 Which business will match it?
👉 Which church or organization will take the lead?

We need $3,900 more to keep serving Anderson County in May.

This is what community looks like —
neighbors showing up for neighbors.

If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to help…
this is it.

🚧 Important Update from Anderson County Community Aid Coalition 🚧

Today we were notified that within the next week or two, construction crews will begin working on the sidewalk directly in front of our agency. During this time, there may be days when clients and staff are unable to safely enter the building.

While this may cause temporary disruptions, we understand this is part of improving our beautiful city, and we truly appreciate everyone’s patience as we navigate this day by day. We will do our very best to keep you updated on any closures, delays, or changes to our hours as soon as we know.

Please bear with us during this short inconvenience. Soon we’ll have beautiful new streets and sidewalks, and everything will be back to normal — only better!

As always, thank you for your understanding, your support, and for standing with us as we continue serving our community. ❤️

🥛 Got Milk?
We do! 🥛

Today we received a generous donation of milk, and we’d love for our community to come by and get some while supplies last! Milk is a wonderful staple for families, and we’re grateful to be able to share it. 💙

Did you know milk can be frozen?
Yes — freezing milk is a great way to make it last longer!

❄️ How to Freeze Milk:
• Leave a little space at the top (milk expands when frozen)
• You can freeze it right in the original jug OR pour into smaller containers
• Freeze before the expiration date
• It’s best used within 1–3 months for best taste

🧊 How to Thaw:
• Thaw in the refrigerator (best method)
• Shake well after thawing — separation is normal
• Use within 3–5 days after thawing

🍽️ Great Ways to Use Thawed Milk:
• Cooking (mac & cheese, casseroles, mashed potatoes)
• Baking (cakes, biscuits, pancakes, cornbread)
• Smoothies or protein shakes
• Gravy and cream sauces
• Oatmeal or cream of wheat
• Homemade pudding
• French toast or scrambled eggs

Even if the texture changes slightly, it’s perfect for cooking and baking! 🙌

Stop by and grab some milk today — first come, first served.

If you’re not already a client we can sign you up today. Bring the following: ID for everyone in household over 18; proof of income for everyone in household over 18; social numbers for everyone in the household.

We’re thankful to be able to help stretch groceries a little further for our Anderson County families. 🫶
