UPDATE! 💗

Our 3rd annual Strides for Survival breast cancer awareness walk was a SUCCESS — thank you to our volunteers, donors, sponsors, and attendees!

This past Saturday, we gathered in unity with breast cancer survivors, those currently battling, and those who love and support someone affected by this cruel disease. Together, we walked to bring more awareness not only to breast cancer in general, but to the people and families living with its impact every day.

We raised a little over $5,000 this year, and we are so thankful for the generous donors and supporters who made this special event possible.

Each year, a portion of the proceeds from Strides for Survival goes toward purchasing Christmas gifts for families touched by breast cancer in some way — and that tradition continues this year.

We will be spotlighting our sponsors and vendors in the coming days, because they helped make this event's success possible. At Seeds of Charity, planting seeds is in our DNA, and we firmly believe that those who plant seeds in a worthy cause like Strides for Survival will continue to see the blooms in many different ways in the days, months, and years ahead.

We were proud to attend a fellow nonprofit’s event today in support of su***de prevention and awareness.

The Megan Ford Foundation was established to raise awareness about su***de prevention and provide support to those who are struggling, as well as those whose lives have been affected by su***de.

September is Su***de Prevention Month, but we should remain mindful throughout the year of the signs that someone may be struggling. As Tammy Ford, the foundation’s leader, shared today, su***de can affect people from all walks of life—regardless of their background, circumstances, or financial status.

Sometimes the warning signs are not clear, visible, or easy to recognize. That is why it is so important to speak kindly to everyone we encounter, offer support whenever we can, and listen without judgment when someone trusts us enough to share what they are experiencing.

💛🍋 When kindness inspires kindness… 🍋💛

At Seeds of Charity, we believe that even the smallest acts of kindness can grow into something extraordinary.

This week, we’re inspired by Kirby Mae, who is hosting her 5th Annual Lemonade Stand to benefit Isaiah 117 House Anderson County.

Isaiah 117 House provides a safe, welcoming home where children can stay when they are removed from their families and enter foster care. Instead of waiting in a government office during one of the most traumatic days of their lives, children receive clean clothes, a warm meal, toys, and loving care while foster placements are arranged.

To help encourage our community to rally behind this incredible effort, Seeds of Charity is honored to match every dollar raised at Kirby Mae’s lemonade stand, up to $250.

If you’re able, stop by this Friday or Saturday, enjoy a cup of lemonade, and help make an even bigger impact. Every dollar raised—and every dollar matched—will support Isaiah 117 House as they continue serving children and families in our community.

We are making steady progress for our “Put a Little Love In Your Heart” fundraising campaign.

We are inviting supporters to help fill hearts with $25 donations so we can provide practical support and resource referrals to neighbors in need right here in our community.
