The Education Foundation for Clinton City & Anderson County Schools has a rather unique process for making classroom grants available throughout most of the school year. Our Instructional Support Grants and STEM Grants are available from late July through March. The Instructional Support Grants are intended to provide resources for a variety of classroom projects and other needs. STEM Grants are designed to provide funding for equipment purchases, supplies and materials, or other needs schools have specific to their STEM programming.

Educators in our two partner school districts may apply for grants of up to $1,000 from either grant type. Educators can receive a grant from both grant programs during a school year, so they can receive up to $2,000 combined in grants from the Education Foundation during this school year.

The grants programs within the Education Foundation are funded through the generous donations of individuals, business partners, and events held by the Foundation throughout the calendar year. If you, your business, civic club, small group at church, professional association or other group would like to make a contribution toward the Education Foundation's Teacher Grants Program, you can go to the Education Foundation's website at www.theeducationfoundation.info and click the Donate button. You will see the Grants Program as a giving option on the donation form.

The Education Foundation for Clinton City & Anderson County Schools is putting together an online benefit auction with our friends at JD's Realty & Auction. It will run from November 14th through December 1st. Proceeds from the auction will be directed to the Foundation's Instructional Support Grants Program where educators from CCS and ACS can apply for grants for classroom projects, equipment needs, or other enhancements.

We are working with area businesses to get donations of products, gift certificates, service certificates, tickets, autographed items, and other items that can add value to the auction. If your business would like to participate, you can contact Scott Bacon at [email protected]. Donors will be recognized in the item descriptions on the auction website during the run of the auction.

Our friends at Second Baptist Church in Clinton made their annual visit to the Teacher Supply Depot earlier this week to deliver their donation of copy paper! This load of paper will allow our teachers to grab a pack of paper prior to the beginning of the school year as they prepare to serve students. Thanks to Kerry Hatmaker and the Second Baptist Church team for bringing over the donated paper!

If your business, church, or civic club would like to donate school supplies or make a financial contribution to the Teacher Supply Depot, contact Scott Bacon at [email protected]. It's time to begin stocking the shelves at the Teacher Supply Depot! This free store for Clinton City & Anderson County Schools educators is open multiple times each school year for our teachers to pick up free supplies and materials to help them serve our students.

Thanks to a HUGE donation of 3M products from our local Clinton 3M facility, we are off and running in our preparations for the new school year. These photos show a small portion of the 3M Post-It notes going on the shelves, as well as two carts filled with 200+ 3M Post-It brand easel pads that are essentially large Post-It pads where teachers can tear a sheet off and stick the paper on a board or wall to display the topic to the entire class. These easel pads retail for $30 each! In addition, there is a large quantity of 3M packing tape that we haven't started to stock the shelves with yet. Special thanks to Jason Orr and the Clinton 3M faculty for this investment in teachers and students through the Teacher Supply Depot!!

If your business, church, civic club, government office, or you as an individual would like to donate to the Teacher Supply Depot, we would love your support. School supplies will be going on sale after July 4th, so you can get a lot if bang for your buck during Back-To-School sales. We also accept financial gifts to purchase supplies for the Depot. If you want to donate you can go to www.theeducationfoundation.info or send a check to the Education Foundation for Clinton City & Anderson County Schools, P. O. Box 1101, Clinton, TN 37717. Contact Scott Bacon at [email protected] if you have questions or want to pledge your support.
