2026 Shamrock Run ☘️

✨2026 Shamrock Run ✨
Thousands of runners and spectators come down to Academy Green every year for the great cannon blast that starts the Shamrock Run. At the finish line enjoy a green bagel at the ‘after party’ at the Rondout Neighborhood Center. Within a short period of time, runners will hear the St. Patrick's Day Parade making it’s way down Broadway with over 100 floats and marching groups.

We are proud to announce Kate Cook as the 2026 Shamrock Run Honoree ☘️

Kate started her years of community service by working as the Tourism Coordinator for the City of Kingston. She was the welcoming face of the City and took pride in her job, going the extra mile by sweeping up rubbish and shoveling snow from the sidewalks, creating curb cuts that helped City residents and visitors alike! Kate later segued into a position as Staff Development Coordinator at Ulster DSS. Kate continues to promote a sense of community at Ulster DSS with great team building events.

In her free time Kate is a staunch supporter of the the annual Shamrock Run and Hooley on the Hudson, is an avid volunteer with the Keegan Army Running Club, and is always having fun with her 2 daughters, Rachel & Clare.

We’re thrilled to share that the 2026 Shamrock Run Beneficiary is My Kingston Kids! 💚✨

Each year, the Shamrock Run Committee lifts up a local organization doing meaningful work in our community. My Kingston Kids has spent over ten years bringing safe, creative, and culturally rich experiences to children and families—helping them learn, play, grow, and shine.

Registration opens Monday, January 19th
$30 for adults, $15 for kids plus free shirt before March 1st
