🏀 Big day on the court this Saturday! 🏀

We are cheering on our friends at Reach Out and Read Basketball at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children as they gear up for their 13th Annual Basketball Tournament and Fundraiser this Saturday, October 24!

The continued success of this amazing event puts books directly into the hands of young patients and families across North Philadelphia during pediatric visits.

⏰It's Favorite Book Friday!📚

Board books are a favorite among Lehigh County Reach Out and Read sites because it allows babies to be hands-on with their new books. Parents are also able to receive books in their preferred languages, making storytime a bonding experience for the whole family.

"Peekaboo Feelings" and "I Need a Hug/Necesito un Abrazo" are just a couple of great board books available through Scholastic!

Kick off Hispanic Heritage Month with books featuring Latinx characters and stories! Included is Yuyi Morales’ “Dreamers,” from our 35 for 35 collection, ”a lovingly illustrated picture book (that) looks at the myriad of gifts that migrants bring with them when they leave their homes. 🦋📖

National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 to October 15. To honor it, read these inspiring children’s books celebrating Latino voices and culture.
