March of Dimes Southeastern Pennsylvania The March of Dimes is all about babies, those born healthy and those who need help to survive and thrive. Visit us at www.marchofdimes.com

The Pennsyvlania Southeastern Division works with the volunteers of Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties for stronger, healthier babies.

In the late 1930s, polio raged across the country, crippling and killing children. Even the nation's future president was not spared. Franklin Delano Roosevelt was stricken with polio at age 39 and did not walk again. But FDR never allowed polio to hold him back, and he was not about to allow it to continue harming America's children. In 1938, FDR established the March of Dimes to conquer polio. Today, the March of Dimes continues to protect the health of America's children. Our Noble Prize®- winning research offers hope of treatments and preventions for serious health problems like birth defects and premature birth.
