As we enter Week Seven of the World Mission Offering, we’re invited to pray for missionary kids (MKs)—that they may grow in God’s love, find strength through challenges, and know God’s peace. Debby Witmer, Global Coordinator for Missionary Kid and Family Care, invites us to join in this prayer:

Loving God,

May each MK know the depth of your love for them and grow deeper into it every day. Give them insight into who you are and who they are, and may this understanding change them
to be more like you. Help MKs to see the difference between good and bad. With your help, may they always choose good and stand firm against the forces of evil. Make them pure and blameless in your righteousness, producing spiritual fruit.

Strengthen them with your glorious power to be able to endure hard things, and may your peace rule in their lives.

We pray that you establish yourself in each MK’s heart and accomplish your good work in them for your glory and their well-being.

Amen.

On September 22, 2026, the Lord welcomed His faithful servant, Rev. Charles H. Jones, home. International Ministries (IM) gives thanks to God for the years of service Charles shared with this mission society. From 1997 until 2025, he served IM, the wider American Baptist family, and the global church in many different roles. He is perhaps best known for his long tenure as an area director, providing steady support and encouragement to mission partners and global servants across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.

International Ministries gives thanks for Charles’ life and invites you to remember it with us in gratitude for his faithful service, through song, and with the hope and joy he freely gave to others.

Memorial services to honor Charles will be held Saturday, October 17, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Lansdale.

Powerful moments in ministry happen where hardship and hope meet. Isaiah 61:4 is a remarkable example of this!

After they had experienced great loss and devastation, God delivered a message of good news and hope to the people: "They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations."

Today, as you look around the world, you might wonder how you can make a difference when there is so much hardship.

IM global servants and ministry partners like Anita & Rick Gutierrez and the health builders they train are already helping to rebuild, restore and renew lives and communities in Christ's name.

As we enter Week Six of the World Mission Offering, we’re invited to pray for the global consultants and coordinators who faithfully serve around the world. The IM Global Mission Team invites us to lift up those who encourage and equip others for ministry across cultures and communities.

Lord,

We pray for the global consultants and global coordinators who faithfully serve all over the world. Give them wisdom as they encourage and equip others for your work. Strengthen them
when challenges arise in the different cultures, ministries and communities they encounter. Renew them with your presence and fill them with your peace and hope, so that they can, in turn, pour it out to those they serve.

Through their leadership, may the lives of others be transformed and the reach of the gospel be expanded. We pray this in Jesus’ mighty name.

As we enter Week Five of the World Mission Offering, we’re invited to pray for Southeast Asia and Japan—and to remember the global servants, partners, and local ministry leaders who reflect Christ’s love in complex and often painful contexts. The IM Global Mission Team invites us to join this prayer, written by Kyle Witmer, Area Director:

God of hope,

We lift up to you our global servants, partners, and those they serve in Southeast Asia and Japan. This is an area afflicted by deep pain and poverty, yet rich in history, culture, and immense potential. From the ashes of the enemy’s destruction, we pray for the beauty of new and restored communities.

In the midst of sorrow and mourning, we pray for the oil of joy to cover families and nations. And from the depths of despair, may our servants and partners don a garment of praise that is
secured in the hope found only in Jesus. It’s in his name we pray.

Lord,

Thank you for your grace and your goodness poured out upon the people of East and South Asia. We lift to you the global servants, special assistants and volunteers who serve in this region. Please strengthen them with good health and an awareness of your presence with them. We remember our ministry partners who are reflecting your love and light in situations that are challenging economically, politically and environmentally. Guide them with your wisdom as they serve you faithfully.

Increase unity and teamwork within and among our partner organizations. Help us to be open to the guidance of your Spirit and be surrendered to your will. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray.
