✨ A Little Cleaning, A Lot of Heart ✨

Today, the 1HOPE staff rolled up our sleeves and spent time cleaning and organizing the office! From sorting supplies to freshening up our spaces, we were reminded that every task—big or small—helps us better serve the foster families, children, and volunteers we love.

A clean and organized office means we're ready to welcome families, support our volunteers, and continue building compassionate relationships throughout our community.

We're grateful for a team that is always willing to jump in wherever needed and work together to make 1HOPE the best it can be.

Every time we share a story, host an event, deliver a meal, meet an immediate need, celebrate an adoption, or walk alongside a foster family, it is because a community of people has chosen to stand with 1HOPE. 💙

What many people don't see are the countless hours, volunteers, resources, and financial support that make all of this possible. The families we serve are saying "yes" to children during some of the most difficult moments of their lives, and we want to make sure they never have to walk that journey alone.

As 1HOPE continues to grow, so does the need. More children are coming into care. More families are opening their homes. More support is needed than ever before.

We are incredibly grateful for every donor, sponsor, volunteer, church, business, and community member who believes in this mission. Your support allows us to provide meals, family volunteers, immediate needs, family nights, back-to-school programs, events, and encouragement to families who need it most.

If you have ever wondered if your gift makes a difference, the answer is yes. Every dollar, every prayer, every act of kindness helps us continue bringing hope to vulnerable children and the families caring for them.

Kindness in Action ❤️

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make a sweet 6-year-old girl's birthday so special. From the generous donations and beautiful cake to the prayers, and love that was poured into this celebration, you helped create memories that will last a lifetime. Seeing the joy on her face was a reminder of how much it means when a community comes together to love and support children in foster care. Thank you for helping these girls feel seen, celebrated, and cherished. 🎂🎉💕

We also want to give a special shoutout to Regimen Barbers Collective for blessing one of our young men with a fresh haircut today! 💈✨ His foster mom shared, "He was so happy to get his hair done! He looks great! He has not put the hat on since we left! They gave him a pick and some samples and told me what products to buy so I have some good product on hand!"

Something as simple as a haircut can build confidence, dignity, and pride. Thank you friends for your donations and making this young man feel seen.

We are incredibly grateful for every person, business, volunteer, and donor who helps us wrap foster children and families in love. Together, we are making a difference—one birthday, one haircut, and one act of kindness at a time. ❤️

A moment that needs to be shared that happened at Family night at 1HOPE tonight......

Teenagers coming into care need so much support, guidance, patience, and love. 💙

Saying “yes” to teens can be incredibly hard, especially because many have experienced deep trauma, loss, instability, and hurt at such a young age. Honestly, parenting teens can already be challenging even without trauma involved, which makes supporting foster families who open their homes to teenagers even more important.

Tonight at Family Night, something truly beautiful happened.

A young man came with his new foster family as of yesterday.
He sadly has been in care since he was 8 years old, later moved out of state with family, and has now returned and needed care once again. Thankfully, a family stepped up and said “yes” to him.

During Family Night, I watched him notice a woman across the room. He slowly walked up to her and said, “Remember me?”

Immediately, she knew exactly who he was. She called him by name, embraced him tightly, and the two of them just hugged as tears flowed from both of them. She had cared for him when he was 8 years old before he moved away. Through tears she kept saying, “I would have taken you back, but I already have a female placement and not enough rooms, and they wouldn’t allow it.”

It was one of the most beautiful reunions we have ever witnessed.

Moments like this are another reason we love our 1HOPE building and Family Nights so much. These children are not forgotten. These relationships matter. These connections matter. And tonight was such a powerful reminder that love and care leave a lasting impact on a child forever. 💕

Yesterday was such a beautiful and emotional day for one of our amazing 1HOPE families. 💙

After saying "YES" to fostering their sweet daughter as an infant, they were officially able to adopt her yesterday and make forever official. What an incredible blessing it has been to watch their journey and see the love, commitment, and care they have poured into her life from the very beginning.

Adoption days are always so special — a reminder of hope, healing, love, and the incredible impact foster families make every single day.

Congratulations to this beautiful family on such a life-changing day. We are so incredibly happy for all of you! ✨

Hi everyone, Karisa Wenberg here, Executive Director of 1HOPE.

I wanted to share that many of our 1HOPE families have said “YES” to opening their homes to babies who need care over the last week.

We are asking for extra prayers for these families as they adjust to new routines and for these sweet babies to receive the love, hope, safety, and support they need during this time.

This is also where we could really use your support. We are currently looking for a few more volunteers to serve as Family Volunteers.

A Family Volunteer is someone who checks in with a foster family monthly and helps encourage and support them through simple acts of kindness.

This could look like:
• Bringing a meal
• Dropping off coffee or a small gift basket
• Offering to babysit
• Folding laundry
• Sending an encouraging text
• Simply showing up and reminding them they are not alone

These families are saying “yes” to one of the hardest and most beautiful callings, and we want to make sure they feel supported and cared for along the way.
