WHS doesn't receive any general government funding, nor is WHS affiliated with any national organizations like ASPCA, HSUS, or PETA, so donors l

Today, we’re remembering David Aiken, whose presence at our Kenosha Campus touched so many people and animals over more than two decades.
David was kind, caring, and always ready to talk about his beloved cat. He was highly attuned to the well-being of our team members, and he brought that same compassion to all the animals and people around him. He spent countless hours at our shelter because he genuinely cared about the work and the lives it touched.
David’s absence is deeply felt by everyone who knew him at WHS. We’re grateful for every conversation, every helping hand, and every moment he shared with us. We’ll remember him with great affection and carry his kindness forward. ❤️
