Got a great programming idea? We want to hear it! Programming proposals are now open for the 29th Annual Folk Alliance International Conference in Chicago, January 27-31, 2027. Submit a proposal here: https://www.folk.org/conference/programming-proposals
Our goal is to present conference programming that is relevant to and reflective of our members and the wider folk music community. Sessions may take many forms, including a solo presentation, case study, panel discussion, interview, workshop, master class, or sing-along. 75 minutes in length.
Programming submissions will be accepted June 18 – July 23, 2026 at 11:59 PM CT. Applicants will be notified of their submission status by August 27, 2026.
We invite you to submit your most creative and thoughtful ideas. Please be as specific as possible—focusing on clear aspects of your topic helps create a stronger and more engaging learning experience for conference attendees. Folk Alliance focuses programming into four tracks: artists, industry, presenter, and community/theme.
