A huge thank you to Kansas State School for the Blind for hosting a Blind Soccer clinic at England football team Community Training last week and showing us what inclusion can look like through the sport we all love ⚽️💙
Before England took the field for training, Leah Enright, Blind Sports Coordinator, and students from the school demonstrated dribbling, passing, shooting, and orientation techniques using audible soccer balls and eyeshades.
The fun continued as two volunteers from the crowd stepped up to experience the game firsthand, attempting to dribble and shoot while wearing eyeshades a powerful reminder of the skill, trust, and teamwork involved in Blind Soccer.
Sporting Kansas City and The Victory Project have proudly partnered with Kansas State School for the Blind for many years to help expand access to the game and create more inclusive opportunities for youth with visual impairments. We are grateful for their continued partnership and the impact they make both on and off the field.
