Hōkūpaʻa

Hōkūpaʻa Hōkūpaʻa brings the community together around West Hawaiʻi youth. Our greater potential lies in the opportunities where we can connect our successes together.

Hōkūpaʻa is a community collaboration project in partnership with UH Hilo, Hawaiʻi State Department of Education (DOE) West Hawaiʻi Complex Area, Kamehameha Schools, The Learning Coalition, Hawaiʻi Community College, Friends of the Future, West Hawai'i Community Health Center, and other partners as we evolve. Hōkūpaʻa is about connection – a sustained connection between systems, agencies, programs

, and most importantly, people. The mission of Hōkūpaʻa is to serve the West Hawaiʻi community as a connecting hub that will improve the environmental factors that keep our children from becoming successful learners. We will help to facilitate a network between youth, education, and community partners and gather data that helps us make better decisions. Our vision is a connected community where students are safe, healthy, educated, connected, and contributing.
