We’re excited to announce the launch of the Red Birth Green Doula Collective on October 1!

Through the Collective, doulas will have access to community, referrals, professional development, resources, client support, and opportunities to grow their birth work.

Whether you’re a doula looking to expand your practice or just beginning your journey, there is a place for you in the village. Learn more about the collective at our upcoming informational held on September 17 from 6pm-8pm, registration is required!

We’re looking for our next cohort of Youth Ambassadors!

Are you a middle or high school student who wants to make a difference in your community? This is your chance to learn, connect, and give back!

Through our Youth Ambassador Program, students will:

🌿 Connect with local organizations and community leaders
🌿 Learn about programs and resources supporting youth in Kalamazoo
🌿 Explore ways to create positive change in their own community
🌿 Build meaningful relationships with community partners
🌿 Travel to other cities to learn about similar youth-focused work

We believe young people have the power to shape the communities they call home. This program gives them the opportunity to learn from their community, pour back into it, and discover their own role in creating change.

Thank you Back To Basics , for inviting us into your space to share yoga with your youth! 🌿

Carmen had the opportunity to lead an Asanas yoga session, guiding youth through breathing techniques, movement, and different postures. They were fully engaged, open-minded, and such a joy to work with!

August is National Breastfeeding Awareness Month!

This month, we’re celebrating mothers and honoring the many different experiences that make up a breastfeeding journey. The first latch, the learning, the challenges, the milestones, and everything in between.

And no mother should have to navigate that journey alone.

Through Baby Café, lactation support, and community pop-ups, Rootead is here to provide a space to ask questions, find resources, connect with others, and receive support along the way.

We had the honor of graduating 19 doulas from our Community-Based Doula Training last Saturday!

These amazing women dedicated 20 weeks to learning, growing and preparing to provide compassionate, culturally responsive support to families throughout our community.

We are proud of the commitment, care and passion each of them brought to this journey. They are ready to take what they learned beyond the classroom and pour back into the community! 🌿❤️
