The purpose of the Kalamazoo Renal Support Group is to provide support for people with Chronic Kidney Disease, Pre-Dialysis, Dialysis, Pre-Transplant & Transplant Patients along with Caregivers. We are providing an environment filled with years of experience in all aspects of the world we know as Chronic Kidney Disease. Our hope is that through support for each other and through shared experiences

as well as education on issues relating to not only renal failure but dialysis

Objectives:

•Empowerment of our members, family, friends and our fellow patients
•Education on issues important to the group in regards to renal failure, dialysis and transplantation
•Increase membership and maintain longevity of our patients

We Know:

•the impact Dialysis has on families
•the fears of dying, suffering and pain
•the life-changing experience that Dialysis brings to mind, body and spirit
•what it’s really like to live with Dialysis

KARSG - Giving is our Passion

Since 2014 the purpose of the Kalamazoo Area Renal Support Group has been to provide educational,emotional and financial support for people LIVING with Kidney Disease in the Kalamazoo area and surrounding communities. Whether they are pre-dialysis, dialysis, pre-transplant & post-transplant Patients or caregivers. Our hope is that through our support for each other and through shared experiences as well as education on issues relating to not only renal failure but dialysis and transplantation we can help people realize that quality of life is possible. Objectives: -Empowerment of our patients, family, friends -Education on issues important to the group in regards to kidney disease, dialysis and transplantation -Educate patients to be Self Advocates -Provide annual finacial support for emergency situations We Know: -the impact kidney disease has on families -the fears of dying, suffering and pain -the life-changing experience that kidney disease brings to mind, body and spirit -what it’s really like to live with kidney disease
