Catch us at the 12th Annual Transition Fair for Students with Disabilities TOMORROW! Hosted by our amazing friends over at Kalamazoo RESA . We will have a booth and some special swag to hand out as we talk all about our services and how we serve our consumers in the Greater Kalamazoo area.

Getting out and about to Big Rock Market before the season takes a turn for the COLD! There's nothing better than some crisp, fresh air on a nice Autumn day. Staff and consumers went shopping, checked out some pumpkin decorations, and enjoyed the day!

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, and at Community Living Options, we see every day why employment matters.
For those we serve, having a job goes so much further than simply earning a paycheck. It looks like building confidence, learning new skills and pursuing goals of their own.
Everyone has something to offer and everyone deserves the opportunity to be recognized for their abilities and contributions.
This month, we celebrate the individuals served who work hard, show up, and make a difference in their community.

During Direct Support Professional Recognition Week, CLO is proud to recognize the incredible staff who make those “little” moments happen.

A DSP may be helping someone learn a new skill, supporting an Individual Served as they make an important choice, cheering them on at work or in the community, or simply being there when someone needs a familiar and supportive presence.

These aren’t the most glamorous things in the world but they have a lasting impact. Our DSPs help people live their lives to the fullest. And that matters to us.

Thank you for showing up, building relationships and making a difference every day. We appreciate you more than you know!

This week, Community Living Options is celebrating Direct Support Professional Recognition Week, a time to recognize the people who provide daily support, encouragement, care and companionship to the Individuals Served in our programs.

These talented people interact with those we serve more than anyone, helping those we serve to grow, make good choices, build skills. Just being a friend makes a world of difference. And this week is for THEM!

To every DSP at CLO - the work you do matters. The relationships you build matter and the difference you make matters. We are incredibly grateful for everything you do!

Another AMAZING camp trip thanks to Pretty Lake Camp • Adventure Centre • Farm and our fun-loving and adventurous staff!

Individuals served spent time doing loads of fun activities around Camp Pretty Lake like rock climbing, nature hikes, kayaking, and finished off the evening with a fire and snacks.

We look forward to what next year has in store.
