🎒📚 SAVE THE DATE! 📚🎒
Young Kings and Queens is excited to celebrate our 10th Annual Back to School Jam on August 29th at Farrell Park!
For the past 10 years, this event has helped local youth and families prepare for the upcoming school year by providing free backpacks, school supplies, food, entertainment, and access to valuable community resources. What started as a community effort has grown into a tradition that hundreds of families look forward to each year.
We are currently seeking:
- Resource Table Vendors (Nonprofits & Community Organizations)
- Local Business Partners
- Event Sponsors
- Donations of school supplies, backpacks, hygiene items, snacks, water, or monetary contributions
Your support helps us ensure that every child starts the school year feeling prepared, confident, and supported by their community.

In April Fire Staff had the pleasure of sharing space with 4th & 5th graders at the Boys and Girls Club at Northeastern where we explored affirmations & expression! When we collaborate with other community organizations and co-create spaces with youth to empower, uplift, and try on new things it results in beautiful moments like these by the end of our program series; youth supporting each other and leading🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽

Fire works to continue showing up through collaborative efforts to co-create brave spaces for social emotional learning with young people in Kalamazoo and we LOVE coming out to schools!!
