🌟 WE’RE HIRING: Youth Peer Support Specialist 🌟

Do you believe in the power of lived experience? Are you passionate about helping youth find their voice, build confidence, and achieve their goals?

ASK Family Services is looking for a Youth Peer Support Specialist between the ages of 18 and 28 years old.

In this role, you’ll use your personal experience and peer support skills to connect with middle school youth and up who are experiencing mental health challenges by offering hope, encouragement, connection, and authentic support.

🧡 Build meaningful connections with youth
💜 Support self-advocacy and goal setting
🧡 Help reduce stigma through shared experience
💜 Empower youth to participate fully in their communities

At ASK Family Services, we believe our strength comes from the unique experiences and perspectives each person brings.

This role does require you to have your own mental health diagnosis and be willing to share your lived experience. We strongly encourage candidates from diverse backgrounds, identities, cultures, experiences, and communities to apply.

About Nikki Statler:
Nikki Statler is a nonprofit leader, relationship builder, and passionate advocate for community-centered work. Throughout her career, she has been most energized by opportunities that connect people, purpose, and impact — whether through education, accessibility, community partnerships, or organizational growth.

With more than 14 years of nonprofit leadership experience, Nikki has led marketing, development, fundraising, and engagement strategies while helping organizations navigate growth, build meaningful relationships, and strengthen their connection to the communities they serve.

She believes that people thrive, and communities are strongest, when individuals feel heard, supported, included, and connected to a shared purpose. Throughout her career, she has been drawn to work that creates access, removes barriers, and expands opportunities for those whose voices are too often overlooked.

As Executive Director of The Arc Community Advocates, Nikki is excited to work alongside the organization's passionate staff, board members, advocates, families, and community partners to advance inclusion, self-determination, and meaningful opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She looks forward to listening, learning, and building upon the strong foundation of advocacy, support, and community impact that defines The Arc Community Advocates.
