Formed in Boston from a shared love of chamber music, the OAK Trio brings together three extraordinary artists: pianist and Van Cliburn Competition Bronze Medalist Evren Ozel, internationally acclaimed violinist Joshua Brown, and award-winning cellist Leland Ko. Their name reflects the strength and beauty created when diverse elements come together as one.

The trio will also perform special outreach concerts for Joplin 4th and 5th grade students.

All performances are made possible by your generous donations, making the concert no cost to attend!

🎶 ProMusica’s Executive Director Joani Zibert, President Shelly Tarter, and Board Member Cleo Copeland spent a long weekend in Chicago at the Chamber Music America Conference ❤️

Surrounded by a beautiful world of music, culture, history, and people who believe deeply in the power of the arts. It is inspiring - being in rooms filled with musicians, ensembles, presenters, and arts organizations from across the country and world, hearing incredible music and planning performances for ProMusica’s future.

We are grateful to be part of the ProMusica Joplin team working to bring pieces of this world back home to the Four-State Area.

World-class chamber music. Extraordinary artists. Opportunities for students and our community to experience music they may otherwise never have the chance to hear. Most importantly, these incredible concert experiences remain free and accessible to everyone. This is only possible because of the generous support of our area many donors and grant partners, including the Missouri Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Chicago was a wonderful reminder that while chamber music connects us to centuries of culture and history, it is also very much alive, evolving, and meant to be shared.

We are excited about what we are bringing home and planning to share with the four state area in the future. 🎶

Big Vision Conversations & rainy days ☔🎻

Today, the Pro Musica Board gathered at the annual board meeting at Crowder College Advanced Training & Technical Center in Joplin for several hours of exciting planning and collaboration surrounding the 2026–2027 season. From new marketing materials and special donor events to season programming and free world-class concerts coming to the Four States community, the energy in the room was inspiring.

So many exciting announcements are coming over the next six weeks, and we cannot wait to share what’s ahead for Pro Musica and our community.

What a beautiful evening celebrating young musical talent and the future of the arts at Joplin High School. 🎶✨

Pro Musica was honored to present the very first Cynthia H. Schwab Legacy Scholarship tonight, recognizing a graduating student for exceptional musical talent, artistic dedication, and a passion for advancing classical chamber music.

This scholarship was created to honor Cynthia H. Schwab’s lasting legacy and her love for bringing world-class music and inspiration to our community. We are excited to see this scholarship continue supporting the next generation of young artists for years to come.

A special thank you to our local donors for supporting these opportunities and the Pro Musica Board Members volunteering their time to make an impact in young musicians lives and attending this meaningful event.

We look forward to continuing to invest resources in free chamber music events, music education, and opportunities for students across our region. 💛🎻

Last night was one of those moments where music simply takes over. The Hermitage Piano Trio filled the room with beauty, reminding us all why chamber music matters so deeply in our community.

Pro Musica’s free chamber concerts matter because they open the door for everyone including students discovering their passion, families experiencing live music together, and for lifelong dedicated arts and music community members… music has a way of connecting every generation in the same moment.

To our incredible audience, our generous donors and grant partners, and the dedicated Pro Musica Board of Directors - Thank You - for the passion, support, and belief that make nights like this possible free to the four-state area.

We are grateful for every note… and every person who made it happen. 🎶

This morning was something special. 🎻✨The Hermitage Piano Trio spent time at a free outreach event with over 100 orchestra students from multiple Joplin schools, and it was nothing short of inspiring.

They didn’t just perform - they connected. Through thoughtful Q&A, shared stories, and genuine kindness, they gave these young musicians a behind-the-scenes look at what it means to live a life through music.

You could feel it in the room… student curiosity turning into confidence, and interest turning into passion. These young musical students didn’t just learn - they experienced something that will stay with them for years to come.

Moments like this are where sparks are lit… and futures begin. 🎶
