We are proud to call a historic school building home. Our facility is more than 100 years old and filled with character, craftsmanship, and stories from generations past.

But with that history comes a reality many people don't see: maintaining a century-old building requires ongoing repairs, upgrades, and improvements to keep it safe, functional, and welcoming for the individuals and families we serve.

From plumbing and electrical updates to roof repairs and general maintenance, caring for an older building is a constant investment. These behind-the-scenes projects may not always be visible, but they are essential to ensuring survivors and individuals in recovery have a safe place to heal.

That's why we're so grateful for our maintenance team, community partners, businesses, volunteers, and donors who help us preserve this space and continue providing life-changing services every day.

“This is the happiest I have been in years. Thank you so much to all of the staff for helping me feel important and for giving me a safe place to recover.”

Stories like this remind us why our work matters. Every day, individuals and families find safety, healing, hope, and support through Lafayette House's domestic violence, sexual assault, and substance use programs.

No one should have to face these challenges alone. If you or someone you know needs help, we're here 24/7. Call 1-800-416-1772 to speak with a staff member.

We are proud to introduce a new logo that reflects not only where we have been, but where we are going.

Our new identity was shaped through Lafayette House’s strategic planning process, where staff from across the organization helped guide how we present ourselves to the world. Through voting, feedback, and collaboration, our team helped build this design from the ground up.

The result is a logo where the letters L and H come together to form the shape of a house, a simple but meaningful symbol of who we are.

Because Lafayette House has always been more than an institution. We are a house filled with warmth, safety, and unwavering support for those we serve.

This new logo honors our history while embracing a future rooted in strength, hope, and the life-changing work we do every day.

Yesterday, our Lafayette House team proudly wore denim in recognition of Denim Day, a powerful part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. 💙👖

Denim Day began after a harmful court ruling suggested that what a survivor was wearing could imply consent. In response, people around the world began wearing denim to stand in solidarity with survivors and to challenge victim-blaming myths.

What someone wears never causes sexual assault.

Yesterday, we wore denim to raise awareness, support survivors, and reinforce that consent is always necessary.

Together, we can help create a community that believes survivors and works to end sexual violence.

Come see us! We’ll be there with games, giveaways, and smiling faces! 😄

"When we stand together, our voices create a powerful symphony for change." – Daniel Walker

As part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, this project was created by our clients as a way to uplift voices and stand in solidarity with one another.

Those impacted by sexual violence have always been at the heart of this movement. Their voices are the foundation on which this work was built and the force that continues to move it forward.

From the past to the present, and into the future, they continue to lead the call for awareness, support, and change. When voices come together, they cannot be ignored.

We honor their experiences by listening, believing, and standing beside them. Always.
