We had a nice day hanging out at Henrietta Fire Department. The chicken was so delicious! The men and women were there since 7am getting all the food ready. What a fun day seeing people we know and getting to know new ones!! 😋

Why Vote YES on the 911 Surcharge Proposal?

When you call 911, you expect help to come quickly—and you expect the police, firefighters, EMS and dispatchers responding to your emergency to be able to communicate with each other.

The current 911 surcharge is up to $1.50 per month on eligible landline, wireless, and VoIP services.
The proposal would allow the county to charge up to $3.00 per month, beginning July 1, 2027.
The additional money would be used exclusively for 911 emergency call answering and dispatch, including facilities, equipment, maintenance, and operating costs.

Jackson County’s emergency responders are using radios that are approaching 10 years old. During a major fire, water rescue, traffic accident or other crisis, reliable communication can make all the difference.

Voting YES would provide additional funding for Jackson County’s 911 system and help replace aging radios used by our police and fire first responders.
