Last week, we covered RFIs (Request for Information) as the first step in the site selection process—when companies are gathering general details about potential locations.

This week, we’re taking it a step further with RFPs.

An RFP (Request for Proposal) comes later in the process, when a company is narrowing down locations and requesting detailed, competitive proposals from communities.

This is where communities highlight specific sites, incentives, workforce, and infrastructure to show why they’re the best fit for a project.

It’s a critical step in competing for new business investment.

We had a busy and exciting day here at Accelerate Jackson County!

We started the day at the MMTC Remaking Michigan event at Jackson College, where we learned about the future and next era of manufacturing. It was inspiring to hear the innovative ideas shaping Michigan’s manufacturing industry.

We wrapped up the day celebrating Midbrook Manufacturing & Fabrication’s ribbon cutting and open house for their brand-new facility at Jackson Technology Park North. Congratulations to the Midbrook team on this exciting milestone and continued growth in Jackson County!
