Adverse Childhood Experiences Trauma Training - (ACEs) are potentially traumatic events that occur in childhood. ACEs can include violence, abuse, and growing up in a family with mental health or substance use problems. Toxic stress from ACEs can change brain development and affect how the body responds to stress. ACEs are linked to chronic health problems, mental illness, and substance misuse in adulthood. As we observe Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave people who gave their lives in service to our country. Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to protecting our freedoms will never be forgotten. ❤️🤍💙
No matter who you are, how you spend this day and weekend, whether you’re enjoying time with loved ones or continuing to serve others through your work, we hope there is a moment to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day and the sacrifices that made so much possible.
At Nonprofit Network, we are deeply grateful for those who served and for the families who have endured profound loss. In their memory, we renew our commitment to building stronger, more compassionate communities where service, kindness, and connection continue to make a difference.
