Meet Brandy! Born in 2010, she can be best described as a responsible, respectful, organized, happy, sweet, driven, and kind young woman. The adults in her life love her for her stability and gentleness. She is bilingual and can fluently speak both Spanish and English. She has a passion for her Hispanic heritage and culture, and she seeks relationships with those who will respect that, as well as foster her interest in maintaining her roots.

In 2025, Sammy's Window significantly impacted the families we serve by providing essential support to foster parents and youth who have experienced abuse or neglect. With Missouri and Kansas offering some of the lowest foster care stipends in the nation, many individuals and families face challenges in welcoming children into safe, nurturing environments. Through our clothing closet and food pantries, Sammy's Window remains committed to meeting these critical needs.

We’re just 1 week away from Give Joy donor sign-ups! What’s Give Joy, you ask? Here’s the scoop:

Kids in foster care hurt during the holidays, but gifts help give joy. Last year, FosterAdopt Connect provided gifts to over 1,600 children at Christmas time. With the generosity of donors like you, fulfilling a child’s wish list, foster kids can have happier childhoods. Family sign-ups will happen during the month of October!

On Saturday, August 8th, Village Community Church, along with First Baptist Church of Basehor, hosted a donation drive for our new Kansas City, Kansas, Thrive & Connect Center and Connect Cafe. This ‘fill the truck’ event was an overwhelming success. New sheets, towels, pillows, blankets, hygiene items, laundry items & so much more were donated by these amazing communities who came together, all for the good of others in need. 💙

Foster Adopt Connect appreciates the time, work, and effort that was put into this incredible donation. Our partnerships are such a valuable asset to the work we do every day to support the children and families we serve. We couldn’t be more grateful.
