We want to highlight and give a huge ‘thank you’ to Carmen from Lansing High School. Carmen reached out wanting to host a community service initiative through her project, Tiny Triumphs. She wanted to provide ‘care kits’ for children and youth entering the foster care system and help them feel cared for and supported.

The event was held on Saturday, Sept. 26 at a park in Leavenworth, KS. Carmen and her team were able to collect and assemble many kits that include some of our most needed items: hair care products, body wash, hair barrettes, and so much more. Each kit also included a handmade note of encouragement for each child.

Thank you, Carmen, for your compassion and care ❤️
