MEET NEW TRUMAN HABITAT HOMEOWNER: Marie and Family!

Welcome! Marie and her family of 5 kids have always rented a home. She began the Master Homeowner Program in January 2026.

Marie graduated from the Master Homeowner Program in April. She will be awarded her newly-constructed home later this fall.

YOU CAN DO IT TOO! 🙂

Throughout October 2026, faith communities across Eastern Jackson County will come together to help expand affordable homeownership by supporting the construction of a new Truman Habitat home.

Local congregations will join together to help close the funding and labor gap on a home currently under construction. Places of worship of all denominations are invited to participate through volunteering, giving, or both.

Community volunteers will be building every weekend in October, and faith partners are welcome to join us on one or more build days throughout the month.

Together, we'll demonstrate the power of faith communities coming together to help a local family achieve the dream of homeownership.

MEET A NEW TRUMAN HABITAT HOMEOWNER: Rachel and Family!! 🎉

Rachel will be the new homeowner at our Appleton Street home. We are so thrilled for you and your family. 🏠

Rachel is a single Mom whose first grandchild motivated her toward homeownership. 👨 Her adult children will also live in the home!
