Why do we do what we do? Why do we help others who are struggling?

God loves us so much that He gave His only Son to die on the cross for the sins of the world. My sins. Your sins. His love propels us to show the same love to others in hopes that they too may accept His love into their lives and be changed forever! Oh how amazing this world would be if Christ’s love propelled us all!

Because of your support, we were recently able to pay 3 months rent totaling $2,400 for the Edmiston family.

At just five years old, Miyanna has been diagnosed with a rare genetic kidney disease called nephrotic syndrome, which has progressed to Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease. She is currently under the care of Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital and is awaiting a life-saving kidney transplant. Her journey has included countless doctor’s appointments, hospitalizations, lab work, medications, procedures, and frequent travel from Middle Tennessee to Nashville. While she continues to smile through so much, her daily life is far different from that of most children her age. Her mother, Myesha, is a single mother who works hard to care for her children.

We wanted her to be able to focus more on helping her daughter heal and less on financial burdens. We are so thankful to be able to support this family financially and most importantly through prayers.

Please join us as we continue to pray for healing for Miyanna as well as grace and strength for her mother, Myesha!

Last month, we were able to send Bailee Brown and her husband on an all-expenses-paid respite vacation to The Silos in Lynchburg, TN. Bailee is currently enduring treatment for a breast cancer diagnosis.

“The Silos were beautiful. We were welcomed with treats and goodies as soon as we walked through the door. Being on the farm with the goats, chickens, honeybees, and beautiful garden was such a joy. This weekend getaway was just what we needed before undergoing a major surgery. We thank the Lord for what He has done and what He is doing with this diagnosis. We continue to pray it brings Him glory!”

Join us in praying for Bailee and her family. They are trusting in the Lord and using her diagnosis as a platform to point people to Christ.

What happens when youth age out of foster care in TN?

37% of young people who age out of foster care experience housing instability.

Housing instability can look different for everyone:
• Couch surfing with friends
• Moving frequently between temporary living situations
• Struggling to pay rent and utilities
• Living without long-term security
When a young person doesn’t know where they’ll be living next month, it’s difficult to focus on education, employment, or future goals.

Stable housing creates stability in every other area of life.

At House of Hope, we believe every young adult deserves the opportunity to build a future on a strong foundation.

Because hope grows when stability exists.
