Yesterday, our President, Thee Nyshyne , had the pleasure of attending the Rainbow Pride of WV and Capitol Market Rainbow Harvest Dinner🌈🥘 An incredible evening celebrating the chefs that make Appalachia such a unique and vibrant place.

We were especially proud to see our own Vice President and Huntington business owner, Ariel Barcenas of Nomada Bakery, among the featured chefs.

Ariel has an incredible amount of talent and we’re fortunate to have him serving on our board!

Congratulations, Ariel Barcenas C. , on being part of such a meaningful evening! 👏🌈

We have some news and some changes happening at Huntington Pride! 🌈

Our President, Sarah (Essie) Riddle is stepping down and we want to wish her all the best in this new chapter!

Don’t worry though she will still be around and always a friend of Huntington Pride. We’ve appreciated all the work she’s put into this board the past few years.

Volunteering countless hours to help us with not only leadership but with organization, socials, event planning, and all around getting the work done! We’d like to highlight some of her contributions:

🔹 Creating our Discord server
🔹 Starting our monthly meet-ups at Cicada
🔹 Helping to make our Rainbow Book Resource Guide and maintaining it
🔹 Offering her skills as a performer to several events over the years

We hope to continue on with her legacy contributions and we know her work will help us keep our work going strong 💪

She is sad to be stepping away but excited to support Nyshyne in transitioning to the role of President and hopes you will too!
