Esta semana se llevó a cabo la reunión para Asociaciones de Habla Hispana, por parte de Water Environment Federation (WEF) en la edición WEFTEC 2022.

La reunión contó con participantes de NHEO Institute for Sustainable Construction y representantes de ACODAL NACIONAL, ADECAGUA, Aidis Argentina, AIDIS Chile, LA SOCIEDAD MEXICANA DE AGUAS, A. C., Asociación Venezolana de Ingeniería Sanitaria y Ambiental, Puerto Rico W&EA, entre otros.

El grupo recibió mensajes del presidente electo Ifetayo Venner y del previo, Jacqueline Jarrell, quienes con Laila Sukkariyyah, Director Ejecutivo, compartieron el plan estrategico y la dirección de WEF.

Además compartieron oportunidades de colaboración entre las organizaciones, así como también programas de capacitación y próximos eventos.

Compartimos la invitación para la próxima presentación de la serie de Construcción Sustentable, a cargo de J.P. Giometti, Director de Desarrollo Globales en Transcend y miembro de la junta directiva en el sector de Transporte e Infrastructura de Greater Houston Partnership.

La misma tratará sobre oportunidades de innovación y transformación digital en el area de diseño y construcción de proyectos de infraestructura (transporte, agua y energía), mediante la adopción de nuevas tecnologías como drones, IoT, diseño generativo, inteligencia artificial y gemelo digital, con ejemplos de casos de éxito.

El evento se llevará a cabo en forma presencial en la ciudad de Monterrey, gracias al apoyo del Colegio de Ingenieros Civiles de México, A.C., la Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leony coordinada por NHEO Institute for Sustainable Construction.

In his talk "Decarbonizing the Construction Industry", Josh will take a look at the full construction value-chain to discuss potential actions the global construction industry can take to lower GHG emissions and reduce its carbon footprint.

He has deep academic and practical experience with the development and implementation of transformations driven by continuous improvement methods in both manufacturing and major capital project ex*****on settings. He has driven multiple transformation efforts with organizations in multiple industries.

Josh holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Industrial & Operations engineering and is an alumnus of the Tauber Institute for Global Operations at the University of Michiganin Ann Arbor, MI. He also holds an MBA from the The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where he was a Leadership Fellow.

Join Thomas Angeltveit, BIM Manager Railway at Norconsult AS. Thomas will cover how Norconsult AS have built their corporate strategy with digitalization, innovation and collaboration as the key to become sustainable.

A simple example from a hackathon will be shown at the NHEO Conference to explain how greenhouse gas emissions and cost could be visualized in a BIM-model and how we are able to show cost benefit. Maybe this is the future for all decision makers?

Join Alexis Bradshaw, Senior Vice President, Construction & Infrastructure Practice at Marsh. Alexis will be discussing the increase in technology adoption across the construction industry and the resulting concerns around cyber risks.

Alexis joined the Marsh Construction & Infrastructure team in 2020. She is responsible for the management of large infrastructure projects with a focus on the United States.

Prior to joining the insurance industry, Alexis spent six years at AECOM as the North American Public-Private Partnership (P3) Coordinator. In 2016, Alexis joined Construction Risk Partners as the Public-Private Partnership and Alternative Delivery Manager, where she focused on business development efforts in addition to performing insurance due diligence reports for lenders and sponsors on P3 projects.

Prior to joining Marsh, Alexis was an Associate Director in the Construction Casualty Broking group at Willis Towers Watson where she placed casualty programs for contractors and developers across the United States.
