We asked contractors a simple question:

What does it actually take to get someone hired into an entry-level construction job?

The answers were not complicated.

Attendance.
Punctuality.
Coachability.
A willingness to work.

Not groundbreaking, but important.

Because if these are the expectations, then we need to make sure we are preparing people accordingly.

At Construction Career Collaborative (C3), we are taking those insights and putting them into action. We are working with training partners, schools, and employers across Houston to better align training with real jobsite expectations. From delivering NCCER Core training to creating opportunities for instructors to get back onto active jobsites, this work is about more than training. It is about connection.

Connection between people who want to work and companies that are ready to hire.

This is how we strengthen our workforce.
This is how we support our industry.
This is how we create real opportunity.

If you are an employer, training provider, or someone looking to start a career in construction, there is a place for you in this work.
