Advocates for Immigrant Survivors is celebrating five years of service! Since opening our doors in 2021, we have served over 700 survivors in Greater Houston.

In 2025, our impact was about more than numbers. It was about showing up for immigrant survivors with consistency and compassion.

We supported 254 survivors and filed 109 legal applications, along with providing many other forms of support. Every service reflects a meaningful step toward justice and a more secure future.

Together, we are building pathways to justice, dignity, and restoration.

Advocates for Immigrant Survivors conducts research in partnership with Samantha Chapa, PhD. Our goal is to hear directly from immigrant survivors about their experiences with abuse as well as to better understand their willingness to contact the police for assistance. In addition, we want to hear from survivors themselves about how they envision justice.
