THRIVE AND GRIT is so excited to announce that last month we flew down to Houston Texas to make a $30,000 donation to the Advanced Breast Cancer Research Program at MD ANDERSON CANCER CENTER. You can read more about this program but their main goal is to end Breast Cancer. They help women find and get into clinical trials, educate patients, provide strategic treatment plans, and continue research to find a cure for Metastatic Breast Cancer that is so desperately needed. Megan and I made our first donation to this program back in 2018. She is just one young woman representing so many around the world. She was just 29 years old when she was diagnosed with pregnancy related breast cancer. She didn’t have any of the risk factors and was misdiagnosed twice. Early detection is so important but there is a bigger picture. Some women don’t have that opportunity which makes metastatic breast cancer research so important. Sometimes hope and faith is all we have during a diagnosis. She saw immediately how needed this is and it feels wonderful to hear and see how much progress has been made over the years!
We will continue to shine a light on Megan’s beautiful life, create awareness, provide resources to women under 40 and fight for a cure🎗️
