🇸🇪🗳️ WARMI Participates in International Election Observation in Sweden
Today, September 13, 2026, is Sweden’s official Election Day. During the 18 days leading up to today—from August 26 through September 12—voters across the country were able to cast their ballots through advance voting. ✅
🌍 WARMI is represented in this important democratic process by Leena Lucía Bernuy Quiroga, who is participating as an international election observer with the Transparencia Electoral Election Observation Mission, accredited by the Swedish Election Authority.
🤝 Our six-member observation group, pictured here, brought together observers from five countries: two Ukrainians 🇺🇦, one Venezuelan 🇻🇪, one South African 🇿🇦, one American 🇺🇸, and one Peruvian 🇵🇪—a truly international team united by a shared commitment to democracy and electoral transparency.
🏛️ Today, Swedish citizens are voting to elect the 349 members of the Riksdag, Sweden’s national parliament, as well as representatives to regional and municipal councils.
🔎 According to information shared by the observation team, 70 election observers have already monitored 102 polling stations and electoral districts, contributing to the transparency and integrity of the electoral process.
💜 WARMI’s participation reaffirms our commitment to democracy, electoral transparency, women’s leadership, and meaningful political participation around the world. 🌎✨
