A reminder for today: You are beloved. Not because of what you do, what you accomplish, or how much you give,but simply because you are.

Wednesday evenings at Bering Church are about more than gathering. They’re about creating space to be reminded of God’s love, to grow in faith, and to find community right where we are.

Last night, we reflected on John 4:13–14, where Jesus speaks of living water that satisfies a thirst the world cannot. We also explored Psalm 12:5–7, a reminder that God hears the cries of those who are hurting and stands with the vulnerable.

Together, these scriptures remind us that God’s love sustains us, sees us, and never requires us to earn our worthiness.

And we left with two questions worth sitting with:

🌿 Is your cup feeling full today, or does it feel empty?

🌿 What’s one thing that makes it difficult for you to receive God’s love?

Whatever your answer, remember these words:

I am beloved.
God is present with me.
I am worthy of love.
I do not have to earn God’s love.
Even on the days I don’t feel it, I am still God’s beloved.

Our Clothes Exchange was about so much more than swapping clothes. It was about community, connection, sustainability, and making sure good things find a new home.

A HUGE thank you to for partnering with Bering Church and bringing such incredible energy, care, and community spirit into this collaboration. We’re grateful for the work you continue to do to create spaces where people can show up, share what they have, find what they need, and simply belong.

And to everyone who came through, donated, swapped, volunteered, connected, and supported you made the day what it was. 🫶🏾

We love seeing what happens when community organizations come together with a shared purpose.

Blessed Are the Peacemakers

🙏🏾 Seven Layer Peace Prayer

1. May there be peace on our planet. May every creature on every continent have peace

2. May there be peace between countries. All the places where there is war may there be peace.

3. May there be peace in our country. Between the states, the political parties, north and south may there be peace.

4. May there be peace in our towns and cities. In businesses, town halls, police departments, hospitals and schools, may there be peace.

5. May there be peace in our families, between spouses, parents and children, brothers and sisters may there be peace.

6. Peace between each other as we meet one on one. May we feel Peace and understanding.

7.Peace within ourselves. Take a deep breath and breathe in peace.

Amen

🙏🏾 Holy One,

We pray for those whose hearts are broken by the cruelty, violence, and unnecessary suffering in our country and the world.

We ask for clarity in understanding the situations around us, courage to respond in compassion and hospitality, and deep abiding love for you, ourselves, our neighbors, and our enemies.

May we be good news for the world today through our thoughts, words, and actions.

What if faith isn’t always about having all the answers, but being willing to be changed?

Wednesday evening at Bering, we gathered around the story of the woman at the well in John 4. A story of an unexpected encounter with Jesus that crossed boundaries, challenged assumptions, and transformed one person’s encounter into an invitation for an entire community.

She came to the well for water. She left with a story to tell.

And Jesus reminded His disciples to look again to open their eyes and see the harvest already around them.

What might God be asking you to see differently?

Maybe faith sometimes means allowing ourselves to be undone. To loosen our grip on what we thought we knew. To receive what we need. To see people differently. And then to join God in the work already happening around us.

At Bering, Wednesday evenings are a space to gather, breathe, ask questions, explore Scripture, share a meal, and experience community.

You don’t have to have everything figured out to have a seat at the table.

💐 Sometimes you have to give people their flowers.

This past Sunday, we had the privilege of honoring two incredible women in our Bering Church family whose love, time, and commitment continue to make a difference in the lives of our young people.

From supporting our Youth Beach Retreat to simply being present, listening, encouraging, and helping guide our youth spiritually as they navigate this world their service is a beautiful reminder that ministry happens through people who choose to show up.

To these two amazing women: we see you, we appreciate you, and we celebrate you. Thank you for pouring into the next generation and helping create a place where our youth can grow in faith, community, and love.

And if you’re looking for a church where you and your family can belong, grow, serve, and be fully welcomed, we’d love to meet you.
