Meals on Wheels delivers more than food.

For an older adult living alone or facing transportation, health or mobility barriers, a delivery can also provide a familiar face, a brief check-in and an important connection to the community.

From April through June 2026, Homer Senior Citizens provided 1,919 community home-delivered meals. Every meal required food, preparation, packaging, coordination and delivery—and every one reached a community member who needed it.

Your support helps keep this work moving.

As students across our community head back to school, we’re wishing them—and the parents, grandparents, teachers and staff supporting them—a strong start to the year.

Strong communities are built across generations. Older adults carry knowledge, experience and stories that matter. Young people bring curiosity, energy and new ways of seeing the world. When generations have opportunities to learn from one another, everyone benefits.

Here’s to a safe, welcoming and successful school year for our entire community. 🍎
