If you’ve got questions about COVID-related restrictions/safe practices during our Homer-based event, we are of the understanding that transit/lodging/excursions are discretionary under state and local mandates regarding business requirements.
So, depending on what the State/Local governments require, your discretion would fall under those expectations.
The last two summers, when weve visited Homer, we kept tabs on the state government website for fluctuating travel advisories: https://covid19.alaska.gov/
And if erring the side of caution isn’t your “style”, at least stay kind, patient, and understanding for those who are taking extra precautions, fellow travelers ans business owners/operators included.
One thing I can say specifically is that Halibut Cove and the Saltry aren’t playing around and require your vax card, given the nature and reality of being a small island community, that’s understandable, regardless of anyone’s feelings about Covid.
Plan accodringly and remember, “When in Rome!”
