Cover the City Project was started in 2013 by Amanda Anderson. Throughout her time as a volunteer at Open Door Ministries it was brought to her attention that several people needed some type of warmth throughout the winter months in the shelter and even outside of the shelters. CTC is an annual blanket drive held every November to help shelters all over with the need of blankets. A blanket is something so small and you think everyone has one but most of the time they don't. This project was a way she found could help those in need during the coldest times of the year. CTC has grown from just a High Point, NC drive to several cities and states. We strive to help other non-profit organizations with the smallest needs in the greatest way. High Point, NC

A huge thank-you to the volunteers from NCLA and Leadership High Point who joined us for Community Day! 💙

Together, we picked up trash, pulled weeds, and raked the entire block surrounding Cover the City Project’s new space. That’s a lot of ground covered—and a lot of helping hands making it happen!

Consider this your official permission to clean out the blanket closet. 😂🧡

Our annual Warm Wednesdays blanket drive is in full swing! If you have more blankets than people in your house, we know some neighbors who could use that extra warmth.

Grab your new or gently used blankets, throws, quilts, and comforters and drop them off at any A Cleaner World location through November 30!

Want to take it a step further? Rally your coworkers, challenge your friends, or collect blankets with your church, team, or neighborhood.

Join Cover the City Project this Saturday, October 10, for Community Day! We’ll be cleaning up the parking lot and surrounding areas of our new space, and we’d love your help.

🕘 9–11 AM

Bring a friend, bring your family, and help us care for the place where we’ll continue covering cities with warmth and love. Volunteers under 15 must have a parent with them.

Every student deserves to feel prepared, comfortable, and cared for. ❤️

Cover the City Project recently donated clothing, socks, backpacks, and hygiene products to Welborn Academy of Science and Technology to help support students and their families.

A fresh pair of socks, a backpack, or access to everyday essentials can help ease a family’s burden and give a student one less thing to worry about during the school day.

Thank you to our donors and supporters for making these deliveries possible, and to the school staff who recognize needs and help connect students with support. Together, we’re covering our community with warmth and love. ❤️

Our 14th annual Warm Wednesdays blanket drive is underway, and every donation helps us get warmth into the hands of our neighbors.

Buy an extra blanket. Donate the gently used ones you no longer need. Organize a collection. Share our posts. Invite someone to join you.

There are so many ways to help—and we need you to jump in!

We’re collecting blankets of all sizes through November 30 at A Cleaner World locations and additional drop-off sites listed on our website.

Sometimes, showing up for our neighbors means helping with the everyday essentials. ❤️

Cover the City Project donated socks, masks, and incontinence supplies to Emmanuel Senior Enrichment Center to support the seniors they serve. These items can bring comfort, protect dignity, and ease a little of the financial burden of daily care.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to support their work and for the donors who make deliveries like this possible. Your generosity helps us care for our community at every age.

Together, we’re covering our city with warmth and love. ❤️
