Catawba County was well represented for Arts Day 2026! Our delegation shared stories with our legislators of how their organizations are providing creative opportunities for our community and discussed issues that are impacting our industry. Thanks to Arts North Carolina for leading this statewide advocacy effort and to North Carolina Arts Council and the NC Department of Natural & Cultural Resources for all you provide to our creative sector!

Arts Culture Catawba believes every child deserves access to the arts. We work to make art and cultural experiences accessible to everyone and invest ourselves to elevate arts and culture in Catawba County. That commitment includes supporting arts education in our schools.

Thousands of children in North Carolina's K–5 public schools are being denied access to performing and visual arts education simply because of the district they live in, missing out on opportunities that build creativity, confidence, and a stronger path toward future success and higher education.

On Arts Day, Arts Culture Catawba will be advocating for the K–5 Performing and Visual Arts Requirement Bill, standing up for equity, access, and the belief that every child deserves the chance to learn through the arts.

Arts Culture Catawba advocates for our creative community in many ways. On Arts Day in Raleigh ( May 13 & 14) , we’ll be supporting the “Real Tickets, Real Fans” bill. By standing up for policies that protect artists, fulfill fans, and support small businesses, we’re lifting up Catawba’s creatives and reinforcing support for the arts across North Carolina.

Take action with us to urge the passing of this bill!

Americans for the Arts works year-round with policymakers to advance federal arts policy. But mapping the future of arts and culture starts with listening to the field.

That’s why we’re sharing the 2026 National Arts Policy Survey — five straightforward questions that directly shape the federal policy agenda for our field.

The survey covers:
→ Federal investment in the NEA, NEH, and cultural infrastructure
→ Arts in the economy and creative workforce support
→ Artist income stability
→ Arts education from pre-K through higher-ed
→ Arts in health and human services
There’s also space to share your story. Because the data makes the case — but the stories make it matter.

Two minutes. Your perspective.
