I was thinking today about how easy it is to thank Jesus for forgiveness while still carrying things He never intended us to carry.

Regret over past decisions, condemnation from old mistakes, bitterness from sins committed against us, or fear that somehow we've disqualified ourselves from God's promises.

The truth is that Jesus didn't go to the cross so we could spend the rest of our lives rehearsing our failures and nursing our wounds. He made a way for us to approach God with confidence, receive healing and mercy, and keep moving forward.

That doesn't mean we never miss it, or we never have our hearts hurt. It means that sin no longer have the final say.

There is freedom available when we stop agreeing with the accusations and start agreeing with what God says about us.

I'm thankful for the blood of Jesus today.

When you find yourself stressing over a problem, pause. Ask God for whatever it is that is needed, money, peace, reconciliation, hope, favor, friendship, an opportunity, and then wait in His Presence listening.

Step 1. Ask. Seek. Knock.

Step 2. Wait for the answer. Open your eyes, ears, and heart to what you find. When he opens the door to you, go in.

Step 3. Discern from these three things what if anything is your part... obey the prompting of Holy Spirit!

Step 3 is the critical, missing piece for many. Without obedience, we can't expect to be aligned to receive the portion that is God's part.

Can I get an amen? Is anyone willing to acknowledge that they may think they are 'waiting on God' to move, when it is often God having to wait on us?
