Sometimes making a difference starts with something small.
During our assessment trip to Kaseye last year, our travel team spent a week working alongside the community, learning about the challenges they face and laying the groundwork for the project we’re implementing today.
Before leaving, we wanted to find some small way to give back right then—not as part of the engineering work, but simply as a thank you for the hospitality and generosity we had been shown.
So we offered to have the weathered welcome sign at the entrance to Kaseye Mission refurbished.
It wasn’t a big project. It didn’t solve the problems we had traveled to Malawi to address. But seeing it restored when we returned this year was a nice reminder that even the smallest improvements can last.
And more importantly, we were welcomed back.
