KT McFarland became Trump’s Deputy National Security Advisor, but when she was starting her career, there weren’t many women in national security to look up to.
By chance, her apartment neighbor in Washington was Sandra Day O’Connor, the first woman to serve as a justice on the U.S. Supreme Court.
