Staying informed about the policies and benefits affecting veterans shouldn't require navigating dozens of government websites.

ALVA's new monthly Veterans Advocacy & Benefits Report cuts through the noise—tracking important federal legislation, White House actions, state veterans policy, VA benefits and services, and opportunities for veterans and their families.
The inaugural August edition also highlights where action is needed, including ALVA's support for H.R. 9595, the Sergeant First Class Jorge Otero Barreto Medal of Honor Act.

The latest episode of Latino Valor honors Sergeant First Class Jorge Otero Barreto, one of the most highly decorated soldiers of the Vietnam War. A proud son of Puerto Rico, he completed five tours in Vietnam, survived five combat wounds, and earned 38 military decorations for valor and service.
