President Arti expressed her sincere gratitude to all of our members for their dedication, generosity, and commitment to Rotary's motto, Service Above Self. Together, our club has made a meaningful difference through community service projects, youth programs, humanitarian initiatives, fundraising efforts, and global impact.
As part of the celebration, President Arti also presented special recognitions to several outstanding leaders whose dedication helped make this a remarkable year:

Help Fill the Shelves and Hearts of Our Community

Every day, families in our community face difficult choices between paying for housing, utilities, transportation, and putting food on the table. For many seniors, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and families with children, access to basic necessities can be a constant struggle. That's why the Rotary Club of Herndon-Reston Satellite/Impact Club is partnering with LINK Against Hunger to collect nonperishable food and hygiene products for our neighbors in need.

We invite you to join us on Saturday, June 27, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Arts Herndon, 750 Center Street, Herndon, by donating nonperishable food and personal hygiene items.

Your donations of canned soups, vegetables, pasta, rice, cereal, peanut butter, canned meats, baby diapers, shampoo, toothpaste, soap, laundry detergent, and other essential items will directly support local families who rely on LINK's emergency assistance programs. These simple items can make an extraordinary difference for someone experiencing hardship.

While food assistance programs often help provide meals, hygiene products are among the most requested items. A toothbrush, a bar of soap, diapers, or feminine hygiene products can help restore dignity, confidence, and hope during challenging times. The need continues to grow, and together we can help ensure that no one in our community goes hungry or without basic necessities.

If you cannot attend on June 27, donations may also be dropped off at Arts Herndon Wednesdays through Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Every can, every box, every bottle, and every package matters.

Together, we can turn compassion into action and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors. Thank you for helping us support LINK Against Hunger and strengthen our community. ❤️ Rotary's motto, Service Above Self, begins right here at home.

At Wednesday’s meeting, the Rotary Club of Herndon-Reston celebrated a special and meaningful moment as Club President Arti Agarwal proudly inducted three new members into the Rotary family.

We extend a heartfelt welcome to April Hall, who joins the main club, and to Matthew Carmichael and Mark Meissner, who were inducted into the club’s growing Rotary Satellite Club of Herndon-Reston. Their decision to become Rotarians reflects a shared commitment to Service Above Self and a desire to make a positive difference in the community and beyond.

Each new member brings fresh ideas, talents, compassion, and energy that strengthen Rotary’s ability to serve. Whether supporting local food and hygiene drives, mentoring youth, participating in environmental initiatives, or contributing to international humanitarian efforts, these new Rotarians will help expand the impact and reach of Rotary service.

Membership growth is more than adding names to a roster — it is the growth of hope, leadership, friendship, and community action. As Rotary continues to evolve through both traditional and innovative club models like the Satellite/Impact Club, new members help ensure that Rotary remains vibrant, inclusive, and responsive to the changing needs of the community.

Please join us in welcoming April, Matthew, and Mark. Your Rotary journey is just beginning, and your willingness to serve will help create lasting change in the lives of many.
